Animal Cookies

1 1/2 c Powdered sugar
1 c Butter or margarine
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla extract
1/2 ts Almond extract
2 1/2 c Flour
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Cream of tartar

Mix powdered sugar,margarine,egg and vanilla and almond extract. Mix in flour,baking soda and cream of tartar. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Divide dough into halves. Roll out 1/2 inch thick on a lightly floured,cloth-covered board. Cut the dough into animal shapes with cookie cutters or let children cut. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake 7 to 10 minutes. Serve for snack
