Edible Glass

1 c Sugar
5 tb Light corn syrup
1/2 c Water
Cooking oil

In a saucepan, bring water to the boil. Add the sugar and corn syrup, return to a boil, cover and boil over med. high heat for 8 minutes.

Meanwhile, brush a pie pan with cooking oil to prevent sticking. After 8 minutes (and this next part must be done quickly to keep the glass from clouding) remove the pot from the heat and pour contents into prepared pie pan. Refrigerate until hardened. Pop glass out of pie pan. It should hold its shape at room temperature, behave like glass, but is edible
